Home Theater / Surround Sound Speaker Systems:
1. This terminology is used to describe a 5.1 speaker system usally found in a Home Theatre environment.
2. The speakers are placed as follows.....left....center....and right, on the same wall as the TV.
(most of the dialog comes from the center channel speaker)
( while stereo audio comes from the left and right speakers)
3. Two surround speakers...(behind you, as you face the screen) are used for sounds coming from the rear.
4. This set up enhances the directors intended sound effects, creating a more lifelike Theatre experience.
